This was a deep dark wreck. There was a bit of a current as Dave and I swam through the inky gloom over rusty girders covered by anemones. It seemed as though the only light came from our torches which picked out hundreds of white Plumose anemones that seemed to cover every inch of this large wreck. Dave shone his torch down into the wreck and I saw my first lobster. It was huge and brilliantly coloured in the torch beam. This blue creature with bright red long antennae running along its back looked more like a machine than a living creature: some kind of insane circuit diagram drawn in bold primary colours. Neither of us felt completely at home at this depth and we left the bottom with relief doing a long computer-dictated stop.
